Erosion Control
Development and building projects necessitate implementing erosion control measures. During the rainy season in California, it is a mandatory requirement (October 1st to April 30th). Keeping as much dirt on-site as possible during a rain or wind storm is the primary goal. The rough grading drawings serve as a reference for spotting steep slopes that could cause erosion: soil type and slope inclination. Depending on the project’s requirements, the plans may be revised each year. On these drawings, you can see the suggested positions of BMPs and the drainage devices that will be employed if it rains while you are grading.
