The project consisted in the extensive remodel of a historical landmark building in the heart of downtown Santa Monica. The existing parking lot drained towards the back of the building; therefore, our task was to proposed grading to fix the adverse drainage condition while keeping the existing building doorway elevations. The drainage was corrected and piped through the building’s existing foundation to drain by gravity to the city street.
